Uesugi Noritaka (上杉憲孝)

A member of Yamanouchi-Uesugi family in the period of Northern and Southern Courts (Japan).

Noritaka UESUGI (the period of Northern and Southern Courts)
Noritaka UESUGI (1366 - 1394) was a busho (Japanese military commander) from the period of the Northern and Southern Courts (Japan) to the beginning of Muromachi period. Son of Norikata UESUGI.

From Yamanouchi-Uesugi family. He became an adopted heir of his uncle Yoshinori UESUGI and succeeded to the family estate of the Takuma-Uesugi family. He was distinguished in war service by following orders from his own father, such as suppression of the rebellion by Wakainumaru OYAMA, and in 1392 he was appointed as Kanto Kanrei (shogunal deputy for the Kanto region) after his father. However in November 1394, he resigned from Kanryo shoku (a post of Chief Adviser) due to illness, and died shortly after.

Noritaka UESUGI (Edo period)
Noritaka UESUGI (1692 - 1708) - Person in the mid Edo period. Noritaka was the third son of Tsunanori UESUGI, who was the lord of the Yonezawa Domain, and the real mother was a daughter of the Kashida clan. He died young.
